The Metropolitan Opera HD telecasts have been so successful that Peter Gelb is programming eleven for  the 2008-2009 season, in contrast to eight last season.  Opera fans are already marking those dates in their calendars, and participants in Opera Soirees are also including in their calendars the dates for the classes that will prepare them for those presentations.
